What is a technology project?
A technology project can take many forms. Sometimes a technology solution may be a component of a larger project. Most commonly at MATC, technology projects will involve:
Purchase/installation of a new software, system, or technology service
Development of new software, system, or technology service
Modification of an existing software, system, or technology service
Any large technology work effort not covered by maintenance or support
What is a Project Proposal?
A project proposal is also know as a business case. It is a statement of the business issue (presentation to the Directions Team) to management detailing a business issue or strategic objective at our institution that can be resolved by implementing one of the proposed solutions. The proposal should include a description of the issue/opportunity, the current process, who will be impacted, what the measurable benefits of a new solution would be, the expected costs (time, staff resources, and money), any risks, and the proposed solution alternatives.
